Arlo Ultra local storage

What definition are the local recordings stored as? 4K? 1080? And are these stored in the hub or in the individual cameras? I am more interested in post subscription 1 year down the line, as you get 4K in the cloud free for 12 months. I want local storage rather than cloud subscription.

Recorded video is stored on an microSD card that you insert into the hub. No video is stored on the cameras.

As for 4k, you do not get this free for a year. 4k in the cloud is an additional fee on top of Arlo Smart.

Saying that, Arlo has stated they will allow local playback by the end of the year within the Arlo app. So if you store your 4k video on the local SD card, it will be playing back from that.
