Arlo Ultra camera view changed by itself overnight????

Good morning all!

Earlier in the yesterday my Arlo Ultra camera view was fine.

I woke up this morning and now it’s completely changed.

I went outside early this morning because it’s on the magnet mount so I thought it got moved somehow.

To my surprise, the camera is still physically in the exact right spot.

I’m attaching two screenshots. One earlier in the day when the camera view was fine and one from this morning.

It used to look at our front yard. Now it looks up at the two trees but it’s physical location hasn’t changed at all??? So strange.

The camera is only two days old and I bought it through Amazon. I’m going to return it but didn’t know if anyone else experienced this?

It also appears that the tree pic is zoomed...

Do you have the tracking feature turned on?? If so toggle it off and reboot base from the appto see if it changes back

Thank you! It’s actually the opposite, I have auto zoom & tracking turned off.

And yes it was zoomed on the tree.

When I turned auto zoom & tracking on just now it fixed the camera view!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!

But why?

Also I just turned auto zoom & tracking back off and the camera went and zoomed in on the tree by itself again?

So i turned auto zoom & tracking back on and it fixed the camera view.

I left the auto zoom & tracking on for now so I have my normal camera view back.

Don't know why, but have seen it act a bit strange at times...

I would reset the camera ( pull battery and replace )

This morning before I posted on the forum. I did exactly that.

My camera has the exterior power cable and battery.

I took the exterior power off and battery out. Then out just exterior power back on.

When the camera boot back up and zoomed right back in on tree??

Right now I’ve kept auto zoom & tracking on so the camera will stay at its normal view.

I not sure if I particularly want to keep auto zoom & tracking on.

The camera does have the latest firmware (I believe). Screenshot attached.

You've got the latest firmware. One thing to know is that the auto-zoom is only at 1080p, not 4k so if you want 4k, you have to turn it off.

It's entirely possible you have a bad camera but I would first power cycle the hub and then remove the camera from Settings, My Devices and resync it to see if that helps.

As of a couple hours ago, I turned off auto zoom & tracking. Then I restarted the smart hub via my Arlo app.

I have 4K re-enabled and auto zoom & tracking turned off and the camera has been operating properly the last couple hours.

One thing I can point out, the camera did not zoom in on the trees yesterday until it was dark outside (after Sunset/9pm or so). But I do have two front door lights that are on since the camera doesn’t have a problem displaying the front steps (screenshot attached). But the camera didn’t zoom on the trees until after the sun completely set.
