How do I setup cameras that came with a house?

Hello,

I could really use some help. I just bought a house in July. There are Arlo cameras installed already. I can’t figure out how to use them, connect them, anything! It doesn’t appear that a base was left. Is that something I can purchase? Any insight would be super helpful. There isn’t much customer support and I’m just trying to get them set up! TIA!

Let's start with getting the model information.

Many of the cameras have housings that open. Most of those will have a white button on the bottom. If you push that button, it will release the camera from the housing. (It can take some effort to get it out - sometimes pressing the button a second time, and gently shaking it will help). Once you get the housing open, remove the battery, and look at the label inside.

Other models have a flap that covers the charging port. If you have that, take a look at the flap, and see if there is a VMCxxxx label embossed on it. It can be hard to see - sometimes taking a photo at a couple of angles helps.

Some others have a VMCxxxx label in fine print on the back of the camera.

If you can't find any of these, then try taking a couple of photos of the camera, and post them there.
