> Yes. See https://kb.arlo.com/000062568/What-is-the-animated-preview-and-how-does-it-work

Excellent! and yes this worked.

It was automatically turned on by default when it was first implemented and I did go looking for a switch but, as I have a couple of arlo systems, I was logged in as a shared to account which does not have access to this switch.

Which I suppose raises the question: why only in the main/primary control account and per camera? I would have thought it's more an end user preference irrespective of shared to or primary account and an all on or all off thing.

I'll prefix this post with a request that there be a specific forum for the App and issues related to it.

I have a Samsung phone and watch that used to both display the video preview/thumbnail fine until the animated preview was introduced. Now, yes I can see the preview on my phone and it's animation but the thumbnail is no longer displayed on my watch, just the text. I think this is no doubt a limitation of the watch not being able to display animations but it's an inconvenience not being able to glance at my watch and see what's going on and whether it needs further investigation.

Can the animation be turned off?

Cheers

P
