What I did was purchase the right length cable and add a weather proof outdoor outlet to tie into my outdoor lights.

Hi Folks,

I have existing floodlights that are about 30 feet high. Is it possible to hardwire to the existing 110v electric connection? I do not want to be regularly getting up there to change batteries.

Thanks!

First, 30 feet high is an issue with the ability to detect motion properly, especially for people. The motion detection range is out to ~25 feet for people.

As for power, you can use the 120V power but you'll need an Arlo outdoor power adapter to power the camera. The chargers are 5v/9VDC, not 120VAC
