Not a fan of the new app - Arlo developers and staff really missed the mark with this one - it was working just fine and allowed the flexibility needed. However, we're here now.

My question is this: "Are any automations overridden when you switch to a mode, such as Arm Away or Arm Home?" Or do I have to disable my automations when I want the system to register motion and recoerd 24/7?

I've created automations to run the system from midnight till 6AM daily, then go to standby. When I leave the house I want to switch the system on full time.

What you'll need to do is dedicate "Arm Away" for when you are away from home (and limit your schedule to switching between "Arm Home" and "Standby"). Both "Arm Home" and "Standby" can be customized.

All modes either enable or disable every automation when you switch to them. The list of the automations they enable is shown in the mode details, and you can change it there.

This same information is shown in the "Enable List" of each automation (and can be changed there as well).

So:

Your schedule automations should be enabled in "Arm Home" and "Standby", and disabled in "Arm Away"
Your "Leave" automation (if you set up geofencing) is also enabled in "Arm Home" and "Standby".
Your "Arrive" automation is enabled only in "Arm Away".

The limitation here is that you need to choose one mode to switch to in "Arrive" - it won't automatically apply the schedule. So there will be times when you need to manually change the mode when you get home.
