It is possible that they shine the laser until they can place and turn on the wifi jamming equipment.
Buy a trail camera and hide it to cover the area to see what they are doing after the intrusion.

We have deployed several ARLO cameras and a hub at our vacation home in the mountains as someone was messing around on the property when we are not there.

However, lately, we have had the cameras go "dumb" right after someone has shined a blue light (led? laser?) at the camera and then it doesnt record for about three to five minutes. WHAT THE HECK?

Any filter for this sort of thing? Camera case, or firmware update?

@private-eyes4u wrote:

However, lately, we have had the cameras go "dumb" right after someone has shined a blue light (led? laser?) at the camera and then it doesnt record for about three to five minutes. WHAT THE HECK?

If you have a subscription, you might want to contact support to follow up. I'm tagging @JamesC and @ShayneS in case they want to facilitate.

It sounds like you are thinking the intruder is blinding one camera - somehow temporarily disabling the PIR sensor. It's not clear from your post whether they are disabling the others (or how). If they are getting to the hub they could simply turn it off; or otherwise cut the power.

One work around is to get camo skins to make them harder to spot, and then moving them to different positions (since the intruder obviously knows where they are).
