You need to have the Arlo Q Plus connected to the internet to initiate the New System Setup process and start recording. You can refer to your Quick Start Guide to get started, or take a look at the digital guide here: Quick Start Guide

I just want to plug power and start recording, nothing fancy, no oline, no ethernet

Can it be done?

I have spent 3 hours trying to get someone to answer this question and there is no support number

Does anyone have support num ber for US?

Just got it and may return tonight

So frustrating

I don't have a Q+ but it would seem that once the system is up and working you could cause the router to not provide an IP address to the Q+ by blocking the MAC address or by setting up using a guest network and then turning it off. How useful this would be is unknown but seems like it should work.
