Arlo Q Videos will not play in ios and downloads state wrong codec windows 7

Arlo Q, current firmware, current updates on iphone, ipad, and windows 7. Downloaded MP4 files state codec is not recognizeable. These problems began recently May, 2019. Is Netgear recording videos with a new codec which is not supported on many devices?

Try VLC player https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

It's free for iOS and Win. Has nice features.

As to original issue, no changes to my knowledge as to the codecs ( except maybe for the Ultra due to 4K )
