topic ASUS Router With ARLO Q Failure & Fix - Possibly OtherRouters in Arlo Q

All,

Started this thread due to issues discovered and fixed with my ASUS Router RT-AC68U and the Arlo Q camera.

Issue:

Camera connects and syncs without problem

Camera detects motion but does not record video

Live View fails

Fix:

Limit speed of the Arlo Q camera to 600 Mbps in the router settings as this is the speed of Arlo Q specified on the data sheet.

Google "Asus QOS Bandwith Limiter" for guidance on this procedure

Hope this fixes your issue as it did in my case. Other routers may have this problem and limiting speed on those routers may do the trick also. Do not be duped into purchasing a different router in order to fix the problem as this may be suggested to you by "someone". I find Arlo Q a great product with limited troubleshooting guidance/support.
