How can I prevent lag?

So my q has full wifi signal yet alot of times there's a 45 second delay. I understand some delay is normal but 45 sec is unnecessary. Not sure what I need to do to fix this, other than getting rid of it

45 second delay when? Starting the app, starting live view, recording?

Live view. On 720p. On 5ghz network with 300mb speeds. No recording

I've never seen that kind of lag even on a 15Mbs down/1Mbs up connection. You can try moving the camera closer to your WiFi temporarily to see whether that helps or reset the camera and resync.
