Disabling audio for playback, but enable audio for live streams

Is it possible to configure the device to disable audio recording for playback (i.e. for videos in the library), yet allow me to listen in on audio for a live stream? I just don't want the audio to be recorded for posterity. I know there's an option for me to turn off the audio mic, but that in turn not only disable audio recording for playback, but also disables audio for the live stream. If this isn't currently possible, can you add this feature in the future?

The only way to do this would be to turn off the microphone when not live streaming and only leave enable the microphone prior to a live stream.
