Data usage ArloQ

We live in our motorhome and travel the country - we have Verizon's unlimited plan with two phones and a hotspot limited to 15gb

Using the ArloQ to watch our dogs while we are out for dinner or exploring (need to limit barking) - is data being used the entire time the camera is on or does it only use data during the notifications and live views of the dogs?

Data usage is important.

The Q streams continuously unless you disconnect it from the Internet. The wireless cameras may be a better fit although you'd need to make sure the base can connect reliably to the Internet. Just don't turn the base off - use the Disarmed mode when you don't want recordings.

I have also been wondering that and done some testing.
During my testing I have noticed the opposite. The camera only uses data when live streaming, motion record, etc.
When turning on CVR and checking data usage it significantly increased, When disabling CVR data usage reduced again.
From what I know the 3 second buffer is stored locally and only uploaded when necessary.
