I'm interested in the Arlo Q for a business. We operate 24 hours a day Sunday - Friday. On Saturday motion only capture is needed.

I know I need the CVR service on 3 cameras, but I only need motion triggered recording on 3 other cameras. I thought I would buy 3 Arlo Q cameras, and 3 Arlo Pro cameras, but then I learned that the Pro models require a base station, and the cost of the base station pushes that cost back to what 6 Arlo Q cameras would cost.

I'm concerned about bandwidth use, so I don't want 6 cameras streaming 24/7 (and my understanding is that the Arlo Q is always streaming, even without CVR).

Some of the motion triggered areas get high traffic during a few hours of the day, so will I run into problems with the basic service (or does it use FIFO for storage until the limit is hit)?

Bandwith could be an issue if multiple cameras are streaming or recording. Space isn;t an issue with CVR or recording on any plan. the various "limitations" for space haven't been enforced for quite some time now.

I understand now that the storage limitation isn't enforced, but I don't want to buy $1,000+ equipment on a plan that can go south, cost wise, before the useful life of the equipment ends.

If the Arlo Q records continously without an option to change to motion triggered only, then I can't have 6 of them recording because of bandwidth limitations. I will need 3 motion triggered only cameras (which require an expensive base station).

Now, my problem is that 2 of these 3 motion triggered cameras will be in areas that have moderate traffic for 8 hours a day, which means they won't be recording continously but more than a few gigabytes a day. What subscription plan do I buy for that?
