IMO, the Pro seems to have a better range than the Q, tho the Q has better rez and detection.... ( the base unit is pretty strong signal )

But remember if you use multi Q cameras each one has to be set separtely compared with the base unit and multi cameras set as one unit...

IMO the Q is a better cameras as long as you can work with arming all indivually. ( for me that works ok as I use the Q's inside and arm them on a schedule all the time and the Pros are armed as a group (outside) on geozone.

This may or may not work fro you in that case a group of Pros would suit better

Arlo Q vs Arlo Pro and WiFi quality

Hey all,

Is it safe to assume that even though the Q is a 1080 vs the 720 of the Pro, that in theory, the Pro should have better quality pending on home? In that, the Pro is reliant on a base station, which can be placed anywhere in the house; whereas, the Q is reliant soley on WiFi.

I ask because, my router is in my basement and while I do get a pretty decent signal to the 2nd floor, it's obviously not going to be as good as bouncing off a base station on my first floor (where I have an ethernet connection).

Just in debate If I go full on Pro's or have a mix or Pro and Q.

Thanks

Have any plans been published to allow the Q to connect to the base station?

There's a bottom plate that untwists for mounting and a magnet
