i know that. i said that so he could try to use a normal USB brick. pretty sure i was clear on saying "Non-Arlo Non-QC" to make that point.

Arlo camera Pro 5s offline

I have 3 Pro 5s and a Pro 4 cameras wired continually to Arlo chargers, as access to camera location is difficult. In less than a month all 3 Pro 5's went down (but not the Pro 4, it continues to work flawlessly). I spent hours with Arlo tech support trying to determine why I could not reconnect. I tried repeatedly to reset and sync the Pro 5's to different routers (to eliminate wifi as source of problem). I could get the cameras to recognize the QR code, but could never connect (using phone or laptop). I tried different batteries (the original batteries were fully charged and worked with other cameras). My conclusion is the continuous attachment to Arlo chargers in some way destroyed the cameras. Arlo has agreed to replace the cameras (under warranty). I offered to ship the cameras to Arlo to determine the problem as this could affect other Pro 5's continuously connected to Arlo chargers. Has anyone else had this problem, or share some info. Thank you

I used to have 1 of my 2 Pro5's connected fulltime to an Arlo charger for outdoor use. Worked fine for that. I since moved the power source to a normal 2A non-Arlo non-QC USB port, still works fine.

Try joining to the basestation/smarthub. The Pro5 seems to join that better than a Home WIFI. But problems still happen even with the basestation/smarthub.

Thanks. Good to hear. I had tech support (multiple technical support agents) try every angle, no luck. I live in Montana… maybe sub zero temps did some damage. I have 12 working cameras over 4 ranch buildings. I have other Arlo cameras that have ceased working in very cold temps, but they always work once temps warm a bit. I offered to ship my damaged 5s’s back to Arlo, but they declined.

Pro 5s cameras do not need QuickCharge.

Arlo's outdoor charger is 9v @ 1.1A. which results in less power loss in the 25 foot cable than a 5v @ 2 A.

DId you try swapping batteries, just to make sure the issue is with the cameras?
