Charge cam with other solar panel with USB port and official cable

Hi all, the origianl arlo solar panel sucks and I have replace multiple of them for my ourdoor arlo pro 5 cameras. I am wondering if I can use other solar panel which is much better water proof to charge the cameras with official power cables. Or via a USB port attached solar charge controller (with battery attached). what do you think? did anyone try that before?

FWIW, I've had a variety of Arlo solar panels (different ones that used the various connections) with no weather issues. They're obviously out in the weather in the northeast US.

I saw so many complaints and I have replaced 5 already. I am not going to buy any more "original". Worst case I will just switch to another brand when the annual subscription ended.

Superusers are not employed by Arlo and can't speak for Arlo. @jguerdat just shared his personal experience with his own panels - which obviously is different from yours.

If you read through our posts, you'll see that we all have our own perspective - often disagreeing with Arlo, and sometimes disagreeing with each other. FWIW, Arlo actually encourages that, they aren't looking for syncophants.
