Shape of the Activity Zone

We have the option to shape the Activity Zone. Does Arlo cameras work better with "square" shape zones? Or it does not matter? And I can go jagged in the exact coverage area. Just trying to make it "easier" for the camera to detect motion. I have not come across any issues with my current zone settings, so just wondering.

When the camera is on battery power, the activity zone is processed in the cloud, not the camera. The camera senses motion using a passive IR (PIR) sensor - not the image. When it triggers, it streams video to the Arlo Cloud, which will supress the recording and notification when it determines that the motion is outside the zone.

As far as going "jagged", you can do that, though you are limited to an 8-point polygon. I don't think the zone processing is all that precise, so I suggest leaving some margin around the area you want to exclude.
