Right now the workaround is to use a VPN with a US or other supported country as an end point to create your account and connect the cameras. This isn't the VPN that some routers support which is meant for remote access to your home network but a global VPN for your whole house. If you need a subscription, you will also need a credit card from that country to use. Once set up, you don't need the VPN - it's as if you're just traveling.

We recently bought the Arlo Pro 5 cameras (9 in total) via Amazon.
We are having trouble setting it up. Does this mean that this specific camera is not supported in South Africa? Is there any way to solve this?

If you have the latest app and it does not show the Pro5 as an option to be added, you'll need to wait. Not all products and software is available in all parts of the world at the same time for various reasons beyond our control.

Good luck. I'm in SA and bought the pro5s in Jan 2023. Been a year now and still not available. Cameras are in a box. I have 9 of the pro4 and these work will.

Arlo support cannot provide a date and Amazon won't exchange the cameras.

We're just going to have to wait.
