Pro 4 XL not connectiong to router

Hi,

I have problem to connect pro 4 XL camera to my router. I can connect the camera to my phone router and home router but not to my cabin router.

Password and name are correct, it is 2,4GHz connection. Router is Teltonika RUT240.

Internet connection speeds are upload 5 Mbit/s, download 0,5 Mbit/s

Everything goes ok until camera starts to search the router it blinks couble of times blue and after that ones strobing orange and blinking stops.

What is the problem?

This is almost certainly backwards - connection speeds are generally either symmetric, or have higher download speeds.

You likely will have issues with the camera with 500 kbits upload speeds, as Arlo says it needs 2 Mbits.

Some things to check:

(a) the network security needs to be WPA2 (AES). Some have reported mixed WPA3/WPA2 doesn't work for them.
(b) punctuation in the network name and password can cause problems, so try removing those.

You could try temporarily setting up your home router to use the same network name/password as the cabin, and then onboard at home. When you move the camera to the cabin, it should then automatically connect.

Alternatively, set up the cabin to always use the same network/password as you use at home. Similarly onboard the camera at home.

Hi,

Speeds are correct, this connection is meant for home surveillance systems.

I have to check is it wpa2 or wpa.

I have punctuation on the name so i will try that also.

I was thinking same thing that change the home network name to same and log in there and move it to cabin.

Hi,

Tried WPA1 and WPA2 didnt help.

Punctuation not a problem because worked on home router and tested at cabin after it connected to home. Didn't help.

Other tricks?

Did you try matching the settings on the cabin router to what you use at home? (including the network name and password).

I did the other way round, chanced The home settins to match cabin settings and after it was working took camera to cabin. Didn't help.
