I don't always want some areas to be active, but sometimes I'm waiting for a delivery and would like a zone that I can just turn on and then, after the delivery is complete, turn it back off. I can certainly add a zone and move the boundaries around, but it would be quick and easy to have one pre-defined that I can activate or de-activate quickly.
