I just bought from Costco Pro 4 XL. It came with a Hub. All videos say that I do not need a hub with the Pro 4, is that true with the Pro 4 XL from costco?

The Pro 4 XL doesn't need the hub - it can be connected either to the hub or to your home wifi.

Are you planning to use a paid subscription when the trial expires?

FWIW, virtually all of my cameras are connected to my hub and I don't have any of the issues that folks connecting directly to WiFi have been reporting. As long as you have the hub, use it.
