topic Placing Camera by busy street in Arlo Pro 4

So I just purchased a 3 camera kit. I live on a busy St, and I am planning on placing a camera by the street to catch passing vehicles. Is this possible without paying for continuous recording? I plan on hardwiring this camera so battery power wouldn't be an issue but not sure how the motion detection works if their is a constant flow of traffic?

Not sure what the application is, but if it's important that you catch every vehicle then I think you should get the CVR subscription. (Make sure you get a camera model that supports CVR).

You could start without CVR, and see if it's good enough w/o it though.

FWIW, the motion detection range is spec'd at 20-25 feet for Arlo cameras. In practice, it will detect vehicles further away - but it might not pick them all up, especially if they are on the other side of the street. And there is a limit to the motion recording length, so you likely will miss some vehicles in between recordings.
