Cameras stop detecting motion

I have 3 Alro camera's and they are not working consistently. The camera's will pick up movement but not always. I recently had my camera armed and came home with it on, driving my vehicle and the camera did not record a video. Again, sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. I have set and adjusted the video activity zones. If paying for a subscription I need to know that the camera's are 100% effective. I do not know if this is a product issue or I have not set them up properly. They seemed to work fine for an entire year but I am only know having issues.

How far away is the camera from the source of the motion?

The passive infrared (PIR) sensors have a spec'd range of 20-25 feet.
