New arlo Camera

I want purchase Arlo Camera. Is there any Camera which comes without month Subscription. I do not want to pay monthly Subscription but I like Arlo Cameras.

Do not purchase an Arlo system. I made the mistake of purchasing 2 cameras and a base station without subscription 2 years ago. I setup recording to local storage which Arlo said would work. But at least every couple of months Arlo would do something where I couldn't access local storage for weeks. AND NOW the Arlo app is crashing every time. That is because when I login to the web site, Arlo prompt pop ups trying to force me to purchase a subscription. I can no longer see even my local storage. I really regret spending the money on this.

All currently sold Arlo cameras require a subscription to get cloud storage.

If you were to also purchase a VMB4540 or VMB5000 smarthub, then it is possible to record locally without a subscription. But there are several limitations, and you lose other cloud features like activity zones. If you want to explore that option further, post back and I can give more details.

FWIW, there is also a serious bug in the app at the moment - many users are reporting that their app crashes when they view the local recordings. Hopefully Arlo will fix it quickly.
