Cold weather restart

I know the camera shuts down around -4F, and I know you can restart it by bringing inside to get warm and restart, but if it is left outside and weather warms up, should camera restart and reconnect automatically? It seems that I have to remove battery and restart even after it has warmed up.

It's supposed to restart automatically when warmed sufficiently. Have you tried just reinserting the battery to see if that works?

Yes, it will restart if I remove the battery, but the camera is at a second home and I'm not always there, so it would be much better if it were to restart automatically without intervention.

Just a thought - what happens if you reboot the router? That could be configured to be done remotely.
