I recently bought an extra battery for my Ultra Pro 4 camera and it was smaller than the original battery. Anybody know why ?

FWIW, there is no "Ultra Pro 4". There are Ultras, and various Pro models, including the Pro 4.

If the battery is a different size, then you purchased the wrong one.

Do you recall if you purchased the XL version of your camera?
Can you post part numbers of the two batteries? They should start with 308. The print is small, so you might want to take a picture with your phone and then zoom the picture.
