I just bought a base station model WMB4540 for my Pro-4 cams. Plugged in my USB drive and reformatted the drive as recommended by Arlo application. For testing purpose, I trigged some motions that caused my cams to alerted me; however, I don't see any footage on my USB drive through the Arlo app. So, I plugged the USB drive into my windows machine; but windows can't recognized it any more.

Use the computer to check the drive for multiple partitions. If there's more than one, remove all of them, reinstall into the hub and format again. Of course, it's also possible that the drive is bad.

thanks . That seems to work half way. Now, I see folders created in the USB drive by Arlo, but don't see any file. Are they hidden?

No, the files aren't hidden. You may want to reboot the hub to see if that helps.
