&lt;LI&gt;the port was properly forwarded in your router&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;but it is not open when you use the port checking tool?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There are two common possibilities.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;One only applies if your router is connected to a modem of some kind.&amp;nbsp; Many of those "modems" are actually gateways - routers+modems.&amp;nbsp; If that is your situation, then you need to add another forwarding rule in the gateway (to forward that port to the router address).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The second possibility is that your ISP is blocking the port.&amp;nbsp; That might be because they use a technology called CGNAT.&amp;nbsp; The only course of action here is to contact the ISP.&amp;nbsp; Sometimes they are willing to change the setup to allow ports to be forwarded.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Of course you could also get a subscription, so that port forwarding isn't needed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
