In the tp-link Home NetworK Community is written that the tp-link DECO uses the same Network name (SSID) and the same Password for both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands!

Actually a lot of new routers do that - including my own Orbi router. Plus it doesn't let me turn off 5 ghz. But I have still been able to onboard Arlo cameras with no problems.

One strategy that might help in the future - if the tp-link advanced features give you control over the power, you could set the 5 ghz band to the lowest power level. Then the phone would be more likely to connect to 2.4 ghz.

Another strategy is to turn off the deco wifi altogether, and set up a hotspot on the phone that uses the same network name and passphrase. Then you should be able to onboard. Afterwards, just turn off the hotspot and turn the deco wifi back on.

I have had two Arlo Pro 4 cameras installed. They functioned OK for some months. The other camera started to go off-line. I removed it from my account and made a factory reset.

After that I cannot add it back to my Arlo Secure App.
After showing the QR code the camera makes its sound, blinks blue about ten times and then 2-3 times amber light. Then the light (and camera) goes off. The App tries to search the camera but cannot find it.

There is no problem with the battery. I have many times tried to get the camera connected with the App but not succeeded. The other camera functions OK. - What should I do?

Try using a PC (my.arlo.com) - that sometimes works when the app fails.

Using PC did not help.
But I found out that the problem is DECO Mesh.
I have Zyxel LTE3301-Plus router bridged to TP-Link DECO M4R units.

The Arlo camera cannot be found by the DECO Wi-Fi but using Zyxel Wi-Fi, the Arlos are found again.

This problem started after Deco Firmware update. I need to use those Arlo cameras with the DECO Mesh net. But how is it possible?

I am thinking that you are not using a smarthub - is that correct?

Have you checked the security settings in the TP-link mesh? Possibly the update changed a setting.

Thank you StephenB, I think that you were right with the phone. When I used my Ipad Pro, it found the Arlos!

I found out that my Samsung Galaxy for some reason used 5 GHz Wi-Fi and thus could not connect to the Arlos.

After connecting the Arlos with Ipad they were seen by the phone too.

My problem seems now being solved!

And now the final solution to the problem with the Arlos:
In the tp-link Home NetworK Community is written that the tp-link DECO uses the same Network name (SSID) and the same Password for both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands!

My iPad somehow succeeded to use the 2.4ghz band and found the DECOs. When the DECOs were installed through 2.4ghz band, they could also be found by the Samsung phone through 5ghz band.

Now I have the same problem in the initial process of the CTEK Njord Go charging station. Not succeeded for the moment...
