topic Base station not showing in app in Arlo Pro 3

Arlo app not able to find the base station since moving house. Same service provider and same router. Apparently ports 80 and 443 are blocked, and I’m unable to open them to anything but a static IP address, which I’ve been told I can’t assign to an arlo base station. This is never been an issue before so I’m skeptical that this is the problem. Any other ideas as to what could be causing this issue? I have a single LED base station and the light is solid blue but seems to flash amber only when trying to connect to it.

Same router as in you brought the router from the old house to the new one?

You can assign a static IP address to the base but not by doing so in the base's settings. To do this, you add the MAC address and desired IP address to the DHCP settings in the router so anytime the base boots up and requests an address it will always get the same one. Exactly how to do this depends on the router firmware.

While many people call this a "static address", technically it is actually a "reserved address". It will give you a persistent address, but of course still requires a DHCP server.

Extremely unlikely. If you can access the web from your home network then the ports are not blocked. While Arlo sometimes tells people to forward the ports in their router, this is almost never needed (and isn't even possible if you own two base stations).

If the forwarding doesn't resolve it (which it almost certainly won't), then you should remove the forwarding rules in your router.
