No counters/thumbnails for local storage

Good Friday all !

I did not sign up for Arlo services, wanted to use a local USB stick for images storage.

Now my trial period ended and I can describe how it looks.

See on the attached image:

- no more counters

- no thumbnails

Is it good ?!

I find this marketing tactics shameful forcing users to subscription purchases by purposely underdeveloped functionality !

I have no doubts it will force more and more users to stop using Arlo cameras and that's unfortunate as it used to be a great cameras.

That why it says on the box and product page "3 month trial included". This link from FAQ section describes what you get when it ends. I do agree local storage is not ideal, I just use it for backup.

What options will I have when the Arlo Smart 3-month trial plan ends?

Not sure what you thought a "Trial" is but a little research when buying something expensive helps. Before I bought mine every review I saw stated you need a sub as well as product page so it was not a hidden secret.
