If I turn the camera upside down (180 degrees) the image will be upside down and the motion sensitive part of the image will be the upper 2/3 of the image.

What happens if I thereafter turn the image 180 degrees using the Arlo app? Will the motion sensitive part of the image then be in the upper 2/3 or in the lower 2/3 part?

Another question: do you have to respect the 1/3-2/3 motion sensitivity division when you add or change an activity zone or can you use the whole image?

Using the rotation setting in the app won't change the detection zone - that's a hardware thing with the PIR sensors.

Zones work for motion detection so outside of the lower 2/3 won't help. I don't know how strong a cutoff that 1/2-2/3 is so some overlap may be useful.
