for smart , the file must be created and then uploaded to the server at which time the server decides if it fits your filters ...that of course does take time

but no issues seen here from possible overloading

Timing for a heavy traffic and you can always be a problem you have to remember that between each file created there is a time gap where it resets. ( about 10+ secs )

so you have to make a choice of short files or as long as possible files.

For Halloween I use a Q camera thru a window to see the front porch area.... worked very well

Arlo Halloween Issues?

Did Arlo have any issues during Halloween? Our Cameras were missing a lot of motion last night and "the circle" just kept going when we tried to review some clips. WiFi in our home was fine.

We are using the Smart Alerts (e.g. people only notifications). Does the AI required for this and the likely massive volume of uploads to Arlo Servers on Halloween potentially cause this problem?

I am within 30 days of purchase and still trying to determine whether to keep - the Live look, at any time is also not consistent.

Thanks in advanced!

In addition, the way you connected the cameras can make a difference. Are they connected to a base or hub or are they connected to your WiFi? If connected to a base/hub, your WiFi has no bearing since the camera's access is to the base which is connected to your router via an Ethernet cable. Either way it's connected still requires a good signal between the cameras and whatever it's connected to. A struggling connection for any reason can result in a multitude of issues.

Thank you Both!

Correct using the Hub that comes with the Pro 3 - in a single story typical (not large) home.
