Pro 3 Wireless floodlights

I am getting ready to purchase 6 Arlo Pro 3 cameras. My questions are : Can I have these 6 wireless cameras running all at once at one location (my home). I know if after a free 30 day trial of the Arlo secured plan, do I have to purchase 6 secured plans or just 1 plan that covers all 6 camera's. Lastly, would it be beneficial for me to buy a hub for 6 cameras?

Pro 3 cameras (which have a small spotlight)? Or Pro 3 Floodlight cameras.

The floodlight models can connect directly to your home wifi. The Pro 3 cameras require a hub.

Details on plans depend on your country, so you should check www.arlo.com.

In the US (and several other countries) you can get a plan that covers all the cameras at a given address.

There are some countries (I believe Switzerland is one) where the multicamera plan is limited to 4 cameras. I don't know if folks in those countries can get two multicamera plans or not - I'm tagging the mods ( @BrookeN , @JamesC , @ShayneS ) so they can clarify that.

You do need one for the Pro 3 (spotlight) cameras as I mentioned above.

There are a couple of features that require a hub

direct access to local storage (VMB4540 and VMB5000 only).
Apple HomeKit integration
Continuous Video Recording (CVR)

CVR requires its own subscription (one for each camera), and also requires that the camera be connected to AC power.

The main downside of a hub is that it doesn't have as good coverage as a mesh wifi network. Depending on camera placement, you might need more than one hub. A second downside is that the hub can only handle 5 simultaneous streams. So you wouldn't be able to record all 6 cameras at once with one hub.

If you do decide to get one, I suggest the VMB4540 smarthub for these particular cameras.
