The Pro 3 camera requires a compatible Arlo base station

So if you just purchased an add-on camera, then you should consider returning it, and purchasing an Arlo camera that doesn't need a base. For instance, the Pro 4 or the Pro 5s.

Also keep in mind that you will need a subscription for Cloud storage.

If you do have the base, then it needs to be connected to your router via ethernet. You add the base to your account first, and then connect the camera.
