"If" it is an Arlo one-time authentication code why does Arlo continually badger me with authenticating the same computer OVER AND OVER again. Just another thing to drive me away from Arlo

While there are various conditions that can cause the trust to expire sooner (IP changes, VPN use, etc.), the option to trust browser should last for 14 days. How often are you asked to re-authenticate?

FWIW, a one-time authentication code in tech means the code can only be used once (and usually it expires quickly if not used). Not that you will never need another code.

That said, the trust for browsers often does expire early, which I agree is a nuisance.
