    <title>topic SCAM ? Suspended acct but it was paid in Arlo Pro 3</title>

    <description>&lt;P&gt;Has anyone run into this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I have had my Arlo Pro 3 cameras for a little over 2 years.&amp;nbsp; I set up my monthly subscription w/my debit &amp;amp; they automatically take monthly payments out.&amp;nbsp; This morning I noticed all my recordings were gone so I started checking everything and when I went to my subscription it said it had been cancelled even though they had just taken my monthly payment out.&amp;nbsp; Went on-line to contact someone w/Arlo and initially couldn't find a working telephone no. they all referred you to their on-line site.&amp;nbsp; So I opened up a chat, explained what was going on &amp;amp; person responding said they could see my account was current, then said they had to check w/their resources &amp;amp; get back to me. So I went looking again for a phone no. and found one.&amp;nbsp; Guy answered &amp;amp; I asked if this was Arlo he said yes.&amp;nbsp; Had an Iranian type accent.&amp;nbsp; I told him what was going on &amp;amp; he said someone would call back in 15 minutes.&amp;nbsp; It was actually him that called back.&amp;nbsp; He asked me my e-mail, asked me my password that I didn't give him.&amp;nbsp; So he sent me an e-mail with a link to change my password &amp;amp; told me what to type in.&amp;nbsp; He sent several other e-mails they seemed on the up &amp;amp; up but I guess you can manipulate e-mails to make them look like a company.&amp;nbsp; He staryed saying they no longer do monthly subscriptions &amp;amp; I was actually paying too much on my monthly&amp;nbsp; subscription, something about my account was a legacy acct, whatever the hell that meant.&amp;nbsp; Said my new subscription was a 2-year subscription for $189 and sent me another e-mail with an invoice&amp;nbsp; for $190 and a link to pay with pay pal, which I have never paid my Arlo subscription with pay pal.&amp;nbsp; I said I'm not paying this. He said he'd have a supervisor call me back in 2-4 hours.&amp;nbsp; One last thing, while I was on the phone with him, my recordings came back so I thought he had reinstated everything.&amp;nbsp; Not sure if he did or the person who I'd corresponded with on-line did.&amp;nbsp; But as soon as I hung up on him, the recordings disappeared again.&amp;nbsp; I ended up going on through my page and paid the monthly subscription AGAIN.&amp;nbsp; Now recordings back.&amp;nbsp; I immediately changed my password and blocked the telephone no.&amp;nbsp; My fear though is he asked me to confirm my hub serial no., which I did.&amp;nbsp; I changed my password though.&amp;nbsp; Is it possible if this was a scam, which I think it was because I ended up calling Vest Buy where I purchased the system and explained everyyhing to them &amp;amp; they said they had not heard anything about Arlo no longer doing monthly subscriptions and that it all sounded suspicious.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;</description>
