These cams are programmed to die after 2-3 years. I'm wondering if that's still true for the new models though ...

Does it work with battery only or AC power only? Use Settings, Support if you determine the camera is bad.

I am suffering the exact problem like you experienced and I have done all the things like you did.
I have two cameras. A camera works perfectly but when I play the B camera it showed connecting all the time. No video recording on B camera no matter how many times i reset the station/B camera or reposition the B camera. It always showed “connecting”

Not in my experience, and plenty of posts here are from the first Arlo WireFree cameras launched in 2014 (which are still working).

But of course all electronic devices will fail at some point.

This is not a failure, they intentionally break down: the cams are programmed/engineered to die one or two years after the warranty ends, which is outrageous. That's also the reason customer service doesn't help. There are many posts reporting this, and I won't take another shot at it. I'm going for the eufy (P24) cam and I strongly recommend not buying any Arlo products.

That's patently silly with no proof. A small sample size compared to the total existing base doesn't give any credence to your gross speculation. It sucks to be you when things don't work out as planned but stuff happens. I had to buy a new TV recently when the original died - does that mean I should buy a Samsung again?

Good luck with any electronics purchase.

Just to add onto @jguerdat's response:

Programmed to die would be outrageous, and perhaps actionable.

Engineered with an MBTF goal that is a few years longer than warranty is not outrageous. Many components of course do have a limited life (lithium batteries being one obvious one).

As I said before, everything will eventually fail. But I have no evidence that the cameras are "programmed to die", and my own cameras clearly aren't (since many are long past warranty).
