Night Vision?

When a camera is using night vision, should the image be in color? I have an Arlo Pro 3 that is outside and it has never once been in color, even though the night vision setting is turned on. I've been using the camera for almost a month now and I have had no color videos at all. The only time I see color is when I have the spotlight turned on, but I do not want to have it turned on.

I have deleted and added the camera to the base a few times and it hasn't made any difference.

I do see two red dots on the camera at night.

I only have a few days left to try these cameras before my return period at Amazon runs out. I don't want to keep them if they are defective.

You need the spotlight and color to be enabled or external lighting of a sufficient amount to get color. Night vision enables the IR LEDs which won't produce color video.
