Arlo Outdoor Power Adapter (VMA4700) Replacement

I have been trying to find any information on when we can expect a replacement to the recalled outdoor power adapter but cannot find anything. I want to use my Arlo Pro 2 outdoors with all the features available when connected to power.

Any updates?

I have just noticed that Australian stores are now stocking an Outdoor Power Adapter (model number VMA4900). For example: https://www.harveynorman.com.au/netgear-arlo-outdoor-power-adapter-1.html

I can't find any reference to this on the Arlo websites or any updates. Any chance this is the replacement to the recalled VMA4700 outdoor power adapter?

I think the VMA4900 might be the 230-240V version of the outdoor power adapter.

No replacement for the VMA4700 yet AFAIK

Not sure that is correct as they used to sell the VMA4700-100AUS model number before recalled. This is the first time I have seen the VMA4900-100AUS being on sale. More than happy to be corrected though.

A resonse from Netgear would be greatly appreciated to clarify the current status of a replacement.

I don't understandy why the solar charger can work in weather but not your plug in charger. I belive the issue stated in the recall was related to the plug, but if that is the case they can't you just use the same micro plug as the solar charger?

They use different cables and support different amounts of voltage and current. About the only thing in common is that the wires are made of copper.

Trying to buy two of these and local stores do not have stock (and previous listings are being removed) and still not listed as an accessory on the Arlo website. Can you provide an update on when we can actually buy the new adapter?
