Mine records to the arlo cloud without a computer or phone being on.
1) check that your arlo base station is directly plugged into the router
2) check that the Arlo base station is plugged into a wall outlet that stays powered on when the computer is off
3) check that the router and modem stay powered on when the pc is off

Why won't my cameras record when my phone and computer are off ? My router is still on , shouldn't any image taken while my computer and phone are off go straight to "My Arlo" ? Does this mean I have to leave my computer and/or cell phone on over night if I want to get recordings ?

Something is not right with your setup... if the base is hooked to the router, and the router is functional the system should work...no diff as to the phone or computer on
