My wife is not getting sound notifications on her cell but I do on mine. I downloaded the app on both phones but we share email so I couldn't allow her as another user

Does she get the notifications when she is logged into the app or has the app running in the background?

Remember that you cant be logged in to the same account from 2 devices at the same time.

Consider setting up a shared account using the Grant Access feature. This will allow both you and your wife to be logged in at the same time.
