I have two Arlo Pro 2 cameras. Several months ago, one stopped working. I switched the two batteries to ensure that it was in fact the battery that is the problem and not the device. However, I can’t seem to find the same battery online. I asked in a fb group and several people suggested that an aftermarket “compatible” batteries are a bad idea, that they could potentially be hazardous. Should I be concerned? Are the original batteries really no longer available?

Thank you in advance for any responses.🙃

There are no replacement batteries for any older (legacy) cameras so only aftermarket ones can be purchased. The precautions you got from others are valid so be careful. Don't go for the cheapest ones which are more likely to be potential problem-makers. You could also purchase AC power adapters for the camera(s) instead.
