I started this discussion a few days ago and have more information, but I can't see how to add a comment, even though the discussion is not marked closed.

To expand on the original post, I had some old solar panels but did not have a good Arlo cable, so I bought a new-old-stock solar panel primarily to get a new Arlo cable (and I figured a new panel couldn't hurt).

The additional information is this: After trying the new-old-stock cable with both the new-old-stock and old solar panels, I concluded that the new-old-stock *cable* (not the new-old-stock solar panel) was bad. I was pleasantly surprised to discover, however, that a generic male micro USB-to-male micro USB cable is making the new-old-stock solar panel work, keeping the Pro 2 charged to 100%. (I had read several times that a generic cable would not work.) I had tried this same cable earlier and couldn't make it work so your mileage may vary. But I think the cable cost about $5 from Amazon, so you don't have much to lose if a bad cable is or may be your problem. Good luck.

Generic cables can have issues, specifically the amount of plastic around the connector, and sometimes simply the length of the connector that sticks out of that plastic surround. YMMV.

However, the bigger issue is the lack of weather sealing when not using the Arlo cable. Again, YMMV.
