Hello, I live off the grid. Is there a solar panel or solar charger that would charge Pro 2 Base Station and cameras.

Is there still a free subscription for Pro 2.

Can you record for free still on Pro 2

Arlo still provides free 7-day cloud storage for these cameras. They do go end-of-life at the end of this year, so support will end and over time services might begin to stop working. Note Arlo stopped making them in 2019, so anything you purchase now is either used or is very old inventory.

The base requires continuous power, so a stand-alone solar panel is not a good option for that. Note it also needs an internet connection.

They used to sell a panel for the cameras (VMA4600), but they no longer carry it. There are some third-party panels for sale.

Well , the base units runs on 12vdc.... it shouldn't be to hard to setup a solar panel/ battery and/or controller for output...

I have a solar kit the cost about $150 that I run my LED backyard lighting with 2 older car batteries.... Amazon has kits as low as $50. Runs for days without sun.

Of course this is out of the box thinking but very do-able. Esp since your off grid already.

@RaezNZ13: Agreed that you could put a combination of panel+battery together for this. Keep in mind that you also need to provide power for the internet connection.

Though off-grid homes usually have some power infrastructure for the home lighting, etc. It's probably better to use that for the base and the internet.
