Cameras keep recording for audio detection and it’s turned off in the settings.

Just turning off the mic won't do it. Check the camera rule in the modes you are using, and make sure audio detection is disabled there.

If you have a subscription, then also go into smart notifications, and make sure that CO/Smoke detection is disabled.
