Sounds like a failure someplace - the blue LED should never blink unless you're pairing the camera with the base. Normal charging is to briefly blink the blue LED when AC power is connected but then off until the battery is full, which results in a solid blue LED. Make sure the charger works on other cameras and swap batteries around to see what happens.

I have charged other cameras with my charger and I have tried switching batteries...

Not sure what else to try Or if the camera is belly up...

Sounds like a faulty camera. However, if it works ok but not charge, perhaps you could charge the battery in another camera to use in the camera. Otherwise, you're down a camera.
