I have two cameras opposit ends of my porch but one camera is notifying me every 5 minutes and there is no movement

Do you get recordings in the library when you get the notifications? If so what are the recording durations and are they labeled as motion or audio?

I have the same issue. Cameron is constantly sending notifications for motion. Videos are recorded in the library every minute. This goes on for about an hour. Mostly in the daytime. Don’t think it’s the wind or sun, but not sure what it is.

The pro2 cameras use a PIR sensor to detect changes in the infrared in front of the camera.

The sensor is mounted behind the camera front face plate and only has a reliable range of 25ft although large objects can trigger from a further distance.

The coverage is usually towards the lower camera angle and can pickup changes outside the view of the camera picture.

False detections can occur but usually are seasonally impacting and may go away after a month or so e.g.

Reflective surfaces where the sun can reflect from and are punctuated by moving clouds.

Tree branches swaying slightly in the wind.

Flying insects, especially wasps that use the cameras as way points. Hard to see unless they land on the lens.

Wind can also trigger audio alerts, usually you get a buffering sound even when using the low sensitivity settings for a mode trigger rule.

You can try adjusting the camera motion sensitivity which needs to be made in the camera mode rules, not in the camera settings menu which is used for testing.

This is just a brief of natural causes for false triggering of course.

I have adjusted the motion sensitivity lower to 20%. I have not received further notifications. I will adjust the motion sensitivity app as high as I can get before starting to receive new notifications.

Maybe also use the motion detection test. Find the lowest threshold that reliably detects you when you move. Then apply that setting in the camera rules.
