Battery won't charge

This device's battery level is too low. Connect a compatible charger to charge the battery.

I get this message from one of my cameras. It has the big cube battery, not 4 AA's. The camera lights up and seems to work when it's plugged in to charge, but it won't hold a charge and gives the above message as soon as it's unplugged. I ordered a new battery but get the same message. Is the camera done for? Do I need to update it somehow? Would love some advice if anyone had the same issue and fixed it. Thanks!

Need to ask if you are using the arlo supplied USB QC charger adapter to charge battery in camera, the 5vdc adapters will not work.
